Dubai Frame

Dubai Frame is a landmark observation attraction in Dubai that consists of two 150-meter towers connected by a sky bridge, creating the appearance of a giant picture frame. Opened in 2018, it has become one of the city’s most recognizable architectural icons by visually framing both Old Dubai and the modern skyline, while also presenting exhibitions about the city’s past, present, and future.

Designed by architect Fernando Donis, the structure is approximately 150 meters (492 feet) tall and 93 meters (305 feet) wide. Its gold-colored exterior incorporates geometric patterns inspired by the logo of the 2020 World Expo, giving the landmark a distinctive appearance that complements Dubai’s contemporary architecture.

Location and Significance

Situated within Zabeel Park, the frame occupies a symbolic position between the city’s historic districts to the north and its modern skyscrapers to the south. This placement reinforces the concept of the structure acting as a literal and metaphorical “frame” connecting Dubai’s heritage with its rapid urban growth.
